Dear Father God,

I am still thinking about a place to retreat and pray this morning.  Thank You for putting that longing in my heart because it is causing me to be more diligent in praying for Emerald Hills.  The vision is becoming clearer and clearer — this quiet place to be free from the clutter of the world and commune with You. 

This morning I have been reading and thinking about 24-7 prayer.  That’s what I envision at Emerald Hills.  Do You see it the same way, God?  I pray, Father, that Emerald HIlls will be a place where prayer never ceases.  It doesn’t need to be in just one room that is specifically set aside for prayer, however intense and magnifying that will be.  I am asking, dear God, that prayer will resonate from the prayer trails, from the offices, from the meeting rooms, from the classrooms, from every corner, from every space at Emerald Hills.  Please, God, make it happen.

It is not too early to begin praying for two VERY IMPORTANT events coming up in May at the Freedom Barn at Emerald Hills. Training for coaches who are responsible for interns under Team Expansion’s internship program, Pathways, will be held on May 25, followed by Pre-Field Orientation (PFO) for those interns.  These internships are IMPACTING, not only on those who participate, but on the WORLD as well.  Pray for the nations that will be impacted and for the INTERNS who will carry the message.

Heavenly Father,

As I think about the green grass of Emerald Hills, I am reminded of the newness of life we have through Your Son, Jesus Christ.  His shed blood has made us righteous.  He has shown us the Way; He has given us the Truth.  Now, Father, help us to obey this Truth so that the beauty of God’s holiness might be formed in us.

May the beauty of God’s holiness also be formed at Emerald Hills, dear Father.  May Emerald Hills always be a place dedicated to the Truth, the Way, and the Life through Jesus Christ.  I pray, Father, that those who come to this place will go away better for having been there.  I pray that many of those who leave Emerald Hills will go to the farthest parts of the world carrying the message of redemption through Your Son.

O Lord, You are the Way, the Truth, the Life, the Great Creator.  We see you in even what some might consider insignificant things — like the green grass of Emerald Hills.  Thank You for revealing Yourself to us in the beauty of nature.  Thank You for showing us that all things are possible to those who believe. There is so much yet to be done to develop Emerald Hills into the prayer, retreat, and learning center for which You have given us the vision.  Almighty God, give us the determination and patience to complete the task.  Help us to look to You to show the way, to provide the means, to get the job done.  In the Name of Jesus, Amen.

Today has been set aside by Christians all around the world who are joining in prayer and fasting for Kosova.  Pray that the World Harvest Center at Emerald Hills will be a focused prayer center from which such events can be emphasized and carried out.  May it be a place where prayer for the nations takes place 24/7.

Thank you, Father, for the green grass that is already coming up at Emerald Hills.  Thank you for the promise of spring and all the activities that are planned at the Freedom Barn for spring, summer, and fall.  Thank you for the plans that are being made for Pre-Field Orientation and Coaches’ Training for Pathways on May 25.  Please direct these plans according to Your Will and bring them to fruition.  In the Name of Jesus, Amen.

Pray that fund-raising may go as planned so that ground-breaking for the World Harvest Center* at Emerald Hills can take place this spring.  Pray that this building may be completed by the end of 2006. 

* Note: We’re using the name "World Harvest Center" for the time being, just so we know what building we’re describing. But our hope is that the eventual end-result building will take its name from a partnering donor or group.

It was good to be with You yesterday, dear Father, to worship You and to fellowship with Christians, to meet around our Lord’s table, to remember what Christ did for us, to look forward to His coming back for us, to examine ourselves, to pray, to sing, to read Your Word, to hear Your Word proclaimed, to join in the study of Your Word,  to see people added to the Body, to encourage one another, and to edify and build up one another. Now a new work week has begun.  May we continue in our worship of You at our work and through our relationships. 

 It’s a new work week at Emerald Hills as well.  There are still some tasks that need to be completed so that the Freedom Barn will be ready for dedication on February 18.  Protect those who are working at Emerald Hills this week.  Give them safety and productivity, give them strength and stamina.  Be with Aaron when he has to work alone.  Supply the needed volunteers and equip them for the jobs that need to be done.  In the Name of Jesus, Amen.

Dear God, it is to You that we give thanks, for You are the Provider of all things good.  Sometimes we forget to thank you.  Sometimes we have ungrateful hearts.  Sometimes we are thoughtless, not remembering that You are the One who provided the blessing.  Today, Father, we just want to remember that You gave us the land that has become Emerald Hills.  Help us to work alongside You to make it what You intended it to be — a place dedicated to the salvation of the lost.
