Please pray with us today that every aspect of Emerald Hills will result in worship and adoration of God. He is the Creator of this beautiful place — not only of its green rolling hills, trees, and birds, but also of its purpose as a prayer, retreat, and learning center dedicated to the salvation of the nations. Pray that God may be worshipped as volunteers continue to develop this center. Pray that God will be worshipped in every prayer offered for and at this place. Pray that God will be worshipped at every retreat. Pray that God will be worshipped as missionary candidates, church mission teams, and others learn how to get the Gospel out to the whole world. "We praise You, Wonderful and Mighty God, Creator of the universe. In the Name of Jesus, Amen."

2006-01-21: Thank You, God, for Julie Cheatum.
Thank You, God, for Julie Cheatum and the hours she spends in front of her computer punching in numbers and keeping track of data for the Emerald Hills project. Thank you for bringing Julie to Team Expansion for such a time as this. Help her, especially the rest of this month, as she finishes up financial reports for missionaries and issues W-2 forms. Give her some uninterrupted, quiet time to do what needs to be done. Give her strength and endurance to get the job done, and give her joy in knowing that Your Kingdom is being advanced. 2006-01-21: Thank you, God, for Aaron.
Thank You, God, for Aaron Johnson, the Associate Director of Operations at Team Expansion. Thank you for putting Aaron in this position for such a time as this. Thank You for the hours and hours of labor he puts in at Emerald Hills. Thank You for the love that you demonstrate through him as he gives his life as a living sacrifice in service for the Kingdom. Thank you for his patience and perseverence. Please strengthen Aaron and enable him to do all that You have called him to do. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Pray that people who read the Visionary will catch the dreams and hopes of Emerald Hills. Pray that they will see Emerald Hills as a prayer, retreat, and learning center that can be used effectively to get the Gospel out to millions of unreached people. Pray that God will inspire each reader with a vision as to how he or she can be involved in order to make this dream happen and to fulfill the hopes for those waiting in darkness.

2006-01-20: Work day again tomorrow!
Volunteers from International Services are assembling tomorrow, January 21, to continue work on the Freedom Barn. Pray for safety for the workers and a productive day for all involved. Thank you, Father, for people who work all week and still give up their Saturdays to see that the Freedom Barn is ready for use and for dedication on February 18.

2006-01-20: Praise God for Volunteers Again!
This has been a great week for volunteers at Emerald Hills. Thank you, God, once again for the work the crew from Fern Creek accomplished last Saturday. Thank you for the work that Aaron and Joe Wilson have done this week. Thank you again for Jerry Edlin and his carpentry skills and the creation of the staircase. Thank you for the way the Freedom Barn is coming along. We are anticipating a great day of dedication on February 18. Prepare us for that day, dear Father.

2006-01-18: Pray for the Freedom Barn Dedication
Pray that the Freedom Barn Dedication, scheduled for Feb. 18, will glorify God and not man . . . that the service will pull together the elements God intends . . . that He will be lifted up and that His will could be accomplished in us. Pray that God will pull together the exact group He desires to be there on Feb. 18… and that the content of the service will be exactly the content he longs to see occur. Ask that this service can somehow provide a launching pad for future milestones, again, for the glory of God.

2006-01-17: Ask for healing for Jerry’s mother
Please ask the Lord to heal the mother of one of our volunteers, Jerry Edlin. (Jerry has really adopted a carpentry project in the Freedom Barn. His home-building experience shows through in his attention to detail, his thoroughness and "finish-orientation". His mother has a pneumonia-like condition. Jerry will likely go down to be with her this weekend. Pray he’ll have safe travel to and from Florida. Ask the Lord to guide the doctors and technicians caring for her . . . that they’ll be at the top of their game, well-rested, and alert as they give attention to her. "Lord, help them think ‘outside the box’ to give her the most innovative, state-of-the-art care imaginable. We pray she’ll get well soon. In Jesus’ name, Amen."
Please give thanks to the Lord for Jerry and other volunteers like him. They have saved us literally tens of thousands of dollars . . . and they make Emerald Hills feel like a community instead of a job.
