2006-02-13: Pray for Security for Emerald Hills/Missionaries
Please pray for security for Emerald Hills. An intruder has abused the property on at least a couple of occasions. As a result, we’re having to construct a fence around Emerald Hills. (It’s even a culturally-relevant Kentucky horse fence .) Today the gate is scheduled to be put in place. Pray for safety as volunteers complete work on the fence and install the gate. Pray that the fence and gate will restore security and peace to the property. At the same time, please pray for security for our 291 workers worldwide. Ask God to guard them in all 36 nations where they’re serving.

2006-02-11: Thank God for all kinds of volunteers.
Volunteers are the workforce at Emerald Hills! Thank God for men like Bob, Kurtis, and Rusty who come out every Tuesday from South Louisville and Southern Baptist Seminary to give of their time and talents to the work at hand. Thank God for Board Members like Dwayne who include physical labor in their services for Emerald Hills. Thank God for the young, energetic MobSquad who put zest into their labors. Thank God for the International Services people like Julie, Emily, and Bob who tear themselves away from the office (or give of their days off) to assist in the tasks waiting to be done. Thank God for churches like Fern Creek and Indian Creek who send out their members in forces to work on the vision. Thank God for Aaron who keeps all these volunteers organized.

2006-02-10: Pray for Trainees
This morning, seven trainees (Greg, Heather, Russell, Shannon, Cerena, Chris, and Matt) are wrapping up their training through Candidate Lab. Their last session, scheduled at eleven this morning, is called "What Now?" What a question! Only God knows the full answer to that one.
Pray for these seven young people as they leave the Hopewell Road office today. Pray for wisdom, guidance, continued preparation, prayer support, financial support, vision, stamina, strength, endurance, protection, and faithfulness.
Pray for future trainees as well. Pray for an optimal site in which to train them — a place where there is room for learning, praying, storytelling, and worship. Pray for the completion of the World Harvest Center at Emerald Hills.
2006-02-09: Lift up the World Harvest Center again and again and again and again…….
"Dearest Father,
You are the Lord of the Harvest and the Lord of the Harvest workers!
Which reminds me. . . As long as these seven beautiful missionary candidates are engaged in training (and, yes, they are at it again today!) at the International Services office, there is no way I can forget to lift up their preparations for their fields of service. There is also no way I can forget about the many more candidates that You are raising up to reached the unreached. Halleleujah!
That brings me back to the request that has been lifted up to You for several days now — the World Harvest Center. Father, I just see these Candidate Labs getting bigger and bigger and bigger. There is an urgency for the Gospel to be preached in the farthest parts of the world. People are responding to this task. I think, dear God, that we are going to need alot more space for training in the very, very, very near future. In fact, we could use that space RIGHT NOW!
So again, Father, I am asking You to provide the funds, the volunteers, the wisdom, the guidance, and everything else that is needed to get this center built.
In the Name of Jesus
Amen."
