Also, I'm happy to tell you that we officially have Prayer Shelter
#21 in the makings. Our own Julie Cheatum, raised in a small church in Missouri, has never forgotten the very special person that was her mother.
Her mother passed away not long after Julie left home for college. Julie has never been able to forget that loss. So last week, she began asking some of the folks in her church (of about 50 people)… would it be possible for her to find 24 people who would each give $1000 to Emerald Hills in memory of her mom? Lo and behold, even in a church of 50 – 100, there are plenty of people willing to dream of such a goal. And in the blink of an eye, God has already raised up $6,000! So welcome prayer shelter #21, soon to be reality. And thanks, Julie, for dreaming big! We already appreciated your mother… but now we'll have a symbol on our new campus to honor her for a long time to come.
There are now just eight more prayer shelters in our initial commitment of
29 units. Can you think of any one or group that might tackle such a project for God's glory? If so, just tell somebody. We'll be glad to help.
Pray that God will raise up 8 more partners.
