One of Team Expansion’s core values is to coach/train in fruitful practices for life, ministry, disciple making, and church planting. Ask God for wisdom in developing new programs that may emerge in 2017 and in reevaluating to improve training.
2017-01-14: Praise God.
Praise God who declares new things before they spring forth (Is 42:9). Give thanks for what God is going to do in 2017 to bring glory to His Name among the unreached, among those 40+ fields where Team Expansion workers are serving. Praise God for the wonders He will perform to draw hearts to Him.
2017-01-13: Integration Day.
Integration Day of Kairos is always exciting and fruit bearing. Participants are sharing what they have learned and their “takeaways” for the week. Praise God for speaking to participants and for their responses to His Word. Pray for boldness in accomplishing what God is calling each participant to do in their roles in the Great Commission.
2017-01-12: Kairos.
Kairos was brought to Team Expansion several years ago by a veteran missionary. God has used this tool as a catalyst to mobilize His global church. Praise God! Pray that participants will see clearly their role in making disciples of all nations, even if their comfort level is jeopardized. Ask God to raise up workers for His harvest from this global network of Kairos.
2017-01-11: Praise God.
Praise God for how He uses the tool of the Kairos course to divinely influence believers and helps them learn from one another. One element of Kairos involves discussion groups. Pray for participants to be free and willing to share what God is speaking to them through the Kairos materials. Pray for obvious ways to apply what God is teaching and enable participants to obey.
2017-01-10: Kairos Mission Course at Emerald Hills.
Kairos mission course is taking place at Team Expansion. Pray that facilitators are ready and well prepared for presentations, for leading, and for serving. Pray for calm nerves for new facilitators and that all relay the material clearly. Ask God to use each facilitator as His instrument to bring glory to His name.
2017-01-09: Kairos at Emerald Hills
Team Expansion is hosting a Kairos course at Emerald Hills January 9-13 and Kairos Facilitator Training January 16-17. Give thanks to God for allowing Team Expansion to use this tool to mobilize His people in making disciples of all nations. Pray for open hearts and minds to listen to God’s voice and for immediate obedience in response.
2017-01-07: Our Help in Ages Past.
One last stanza of a hymn byf Isaac Watts and William Croft says, “Our God our help in ages past our hope for years to come Be Thou our guard while troubles last and our eternal home.” Praise God for that hope of an everlasting future with Him.. Ask God to enable Team Expansion workers to make disciples who make disciples who make more disciples who thrive on that hope in Christ Jesus
2017-01-06: Unreached People Groups.
Another verse of the Isaac Watts song gives witness to the 6,900 unreached people groups around the world. “The busy tribes of flesh and blood with all their lives and cares are carried downwards by the flood and lost in following years.” That is why Team Expansion is in the business of disciple making. Praise God for His patience as He does not want anyone to perish. Pray that by God’s grace, Team Expansion moves forward into unreached peoples with the Gospel where lives may be redeemed and rescued instead of being swept away by the flood of false religions or no religion at all.
2017-01-05: Something Different.
Time means something different to God than to humans. Sir Isaac Watts writes this verse, “A thousand ages in Thy sight are like an evening gone. Short as the watch that ends the night before the rising sun.” Praise God that He is in control and Sovereign. Pray that Team Expansion will wait on the Lord’s timing and His Holy Spirit to start 24 disciple making movements among unreached peoples.
