2008-01-01: This Is the Year!
"This is the year, Father, that, if it is Your will, we will move to Emerald Hills. So many things to do! So many plans have been made. Already, so many steps have been taken. Closer and closer we come to the day that the Prayer Center/Atrium will be completed. You know the plans we have made, and we know that You are directing our steps. What a great way to live! What a great way to build. Thank You, Father, that we can rest in Your everlasting arms and approach You with confidence, asking that You complete this task that is begun. We praise You and thank You in the Name of Jesus for everything that will be accomplished at Emerald Hills in 2008. Amen!"

2007-12-31: Thank You, Father.
"As 2007 draws to a close, I just want to say thanks to You, Father, for all that has been accomplished at Emerald Hills this year — walking trails improved, mulching finished, trash hauled away, bridges built, prayer shelters constructed, work teams involved, Boy Scouts participating, prayer walks completed, "29" partners committed, plans approved, permits secured, cedar log package ordered, the ropes course begun, the front field excavated, the Barn organized, the heat working, a couple united in marriage, a couple renewing their vows, celebrations, retreats, meetings, gatherings, picnics, the unreached prayed for. You were so busy, Father! All praise and honor and glory belongs to You forever and ever and ever. I thank You in the Name of Jesus. Amen."
2007-12-24: Silent Night.
Praise God that as we celebrate the night before our Savior was born that we can look into the glow of many candles and remember the Light of the World that became flesh and dwelt among us. "Thank You, Father, for the stillness that envelops Emerald Hills on nights like this when the moon reflects its light on trees that will clap their hands in praise of Jesus. Thank You for a place to be still and know that You are God — a place from which to export the Good News that Jesus was born, lived among men a sinless life, was crucified, buried, and raised again. In the Name of Jesus, I thank You, Most Holy and Loving God. Amen."
