Pray those who persecute believers. Pray for the enemies of Christ to be changed and for them to fall in love with Jesus Christ.

But Peter and John replied, “Judge for yourselves whether it is right in God’s sight to obey you rather than God. For we cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard.” (Acts 4:19-20) Father, help believers to be unable to keep quiet about YOU, no matter what kind of persecution they face.

Day of Extraordinary Prayer and Fasting is taking place today at the office of Team Expansion. Beginning with praise and worship, then interceding for the persecuted, harvest workers, leadership, unreached and unengaged peoples, and organizational goals. Pray with us. Intercede for those who are becoming followers of Christ, despite overwhelming obstacles, persecution, and isolation.

Throughout Somalia, Christians face isolation and persecution. In the areas where Islamic extremists are active, anyone even suspected of leaving Islam is publicly executed. It is illegal to proselytize, and Sharia law does not recognize the right to convert from Islam. Christians face exclusion, torture, and death. Ask the Lord of lords and King of kings to give believers boldness to proclaim His Word; to protect those who trust in His name; to comfort believers in their troubles; to watch over His children; to enable believers to experience joy in their trials and learn perseverance and become mature; to give His Somali children patient endurance.

Pray for Suriname, Guyana, Honduras, and Nicaragua to overcome natural disasters, massive upheavals of war, and political polarization so that many will turn to compassion of Christians and hope in Christ. Pray that Chile, Uruguay and Falkland Islands increase in their evangelical growth and maturity.

Behind Argentina’s sophistication and postmodern façade lie intense spiritual struggles for souls. The low-key but widespread influence of the occult, Mormon populations and the growing Muslim population all vie for souls with postmodern agnosticism, hedonistic lifestyles and Christianity. Spiritism’s hidden currents strongly influence far more people than will openly identify with such groups. Past battles were won with intercession. Pray for protection and spiritual health for all in the forefront of the battle.

Praise God for the divinely ordered convergence in Latin America of spiritual, economic, and social conditions that allows evangelicals to have a great impact. Pray for effective and viable policies to combat the evil and illegal drug trade. Pray that God moves in such a way as to end the seemingly insatiable appetite that fuels the whole evil structure.

Celebrate the work God has accomplished through the various mission organizations worldwide. Pray for the Missio Nexus conference for mission leaders to inspire, refresh, and challenge in finishing the task of making disciples of all nations.

Praise God that the church continues to grow in Colombia. Pray for solutions in the challenges of violence, leadership, and unity. Pray that the peace of Christ would rule in the hearts of the Colombians.
