Japan has thousands of earthquakes each year, but most are too weak to cause concern. Praise God that these recent larger quakes have not caused tsunami damage like 2011’s disasters. Pray that churches in the area of epicenter’s Kumamoto are responding to physical and spiritual needs of those affected.
2016-06-06: He Shakes the Earth.
“He shakes the earth from its place and makes its pillars tremble” (Job 9:6). There was a terrible earthquake in southern Japan in April, causing lots of damage with over 40 dead and over 100,000 needing to evacuate. Pray that Japanese affected by earthquakes would have open ears and hearts to the Gospel when workers share it with them. Pray that many would put their trust in Jesus.
2016-06-05: Test the Spirits.
“Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world” (1 John 4:1). God, we pray against the false teachings, false promises, and the false hope of the Buddhist and animist religions. We pray that Buddhists would question what they believe and that YOU would reach into each heart. Make them wrestle with Truth in order to find what is good and true so that they may find YOUR Truth in the midst of spiritual chaos.
2016-06-04: Praise God for 77 Baptisms.
Praise God for 77 baptisms in C-ba. God is doing amazing things in that nation!
2016-06-03: Families Serving in Dangerous Places.
Pray for families that are serving in dangerous places. In the last 18 months terrorist attacks in North Africa have resulted in 3 separate incidents near workers.
2016-06-02: Safety on the Ropes Course and Climbing Elements.
Give thanks to God for Pathways interns that He has raised up to serve this summer. Thank God for their safety on the ropes courses and climbing elements as they participated in an afternoon of team building. Pray that what they learned will knit them together through their experiences participating in DSOTO (Discipleship School of The Outdoors).
2016-06-01: PFO for Pathways Interns
Pre-Field Orientation, training for Pathways interns and Connections group will ends Thursday evening. Praise God for this time to equip and empower to serve cross-culturally. Pray that this training will produce fruit among unreached peoples in countries in Europe, Asia, Southern Asia, Africa, and the Middle East.
2016-05-31: Parents and Families of Pathways Interns.
Pray for the parents and families of Pathways interns heading out to different parts of the world. Pray that they are leaning on the Lord for comfort and strength, that they are encouraging to these responding to God’s call on their life to ‘GO’ and that they are fully engaged in mobilizing others in their role of the Great Commission.
2016-05-29: Fearlessly Declare the Gospel.
“Pray also for me, that whenever I open my mouth, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make know the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly as I should.” (Eph. 6:19-20) Pray that God would use Pathways interns to promote the Gospel among unreached peoples, to encourage mission practitioners, and to engage the global church.
2016-05-28: Failing to Pray.
“As for me, far be it from me that I should sin against the Lord by failing to pray for you. And I will teach you the way that is good and right.” (1 Sam 12:23) Ask God to multiply the prayer support of each of the Pathways interns this summer so that the Gospel may go forth among peoples of Bosnia, India, Indonesia, Italy, Jordan, North Africa, and the USA.
