Day of Prayer and Fasting is dear to Team Expansion’s heart. Ask that God would be honored through our praise and worship, that God would hear our intercessions for unreached peoples and workers, and that He would be glorified in the activities of these days on the third Thursday of every month..
2016-06-16: Earthquake in Ecuador.
A 7.8 earthquake rippled through Ecuador in April. Pray that believers would reach out to those in desperate need and be the hands and feet of Jesus to bring healing and comfort. Pray that the people of Ecuador would look to Jesus for rescue and salvation.
2016-06-15: Ecuador.
Pray for Ecuador. A powerful earthquake in Ecuador that killed more than 480 people and injured another 4000 on Saturday, April 16 is the country’s worst tragedy in 60 years. Christian Missionary Fellowship’s (CMF) Director of Ministry Center Development is happy to report that CMFs mission partners in Ecuador, Team Expansion workers of Project New Hope are doing fine and looking for ways to help the people who have been affected by disaster. To quote our worker, “We want God to guide us on choosing the right towns and preparing the people before we get there. Our goal is to continue relationships that we are able to build through this difficult time.” Ask God to keep safe workers traveling on damaged roads and protect them from bandits robbing relief supply trucks. Pray for those receiving the supplies, also receive the gift of salvation when the story of Jesus is shared with them.
2016-06-14: Matthew 20:29-34.
Lord, Son of David, have mercy on all who are blind physically and spiritually in ‘Dawnlight’. In your compassion, touch them and restore their sight. We pray that all who are healed follow you (Mt 20:29-34).
2016-06-13: Mien People.
Every day, Mien people in Huai Chang Lod village go about their daily lives. Working, visiting, playing, caring for themselves and others. For many of them, the thought of living their lives for Christ and having faith in His providence has never crossed their minds. Why? Many have never heard the Gospel. Pray for the life-changing Good News to reach the ears and hearts of those living in Huai Chang Lod village.
2016-06-12: Give Thanks.
Give thanks to the Lord of the harvest for sending out workers. Pray for workers just arriving on field to have strength, energy, and drive needed for each day to adjust to life in adopted country. Ask God to help those new workers with all the cultural differences and to cause those new workers to lean on Him during transition as they find appropriate housing and language.
2016-06-11: Harvest Workers.
Praise God for new harvest workers that He continues to raise up. Pray that God would enable new workers to learn language quickly so that they may boldly and confidently share the message of Jesus. Ask God to use these workers to spark a disciple making movement among unreached peoples.
2016-06-10: Team Expansion MKs.
Paul’s father-like heart for the young preacher and disciple maker Timothy gives direction to pray for Missionary Kids. Although Timothy was possibly of a mature age when pulled into a cross-cultural life, his apparent relative youth and placement in leadership seemed like it could sure inform our prayers. Pray that Team Expansion MKs on the fields and those who have transitioned off will have confidence in their calling, despite their age, to be solid witnesses to a life with Christ through their words, actions, faith, purity, and love for others and to publicly rely on Scripture, answer the call to teach and preach when given, and to have the backing and sending of mature believers, and the courage to use their gifts, to display commitment, and to be honest and diligent in their self-examination (1 Tim 4:12-16).
2016-06-09: Celebrate.
Celebrate what God is doing in a Buddhist country in Southeast Asia. Three international teens, several nationals and others have put on Christ in baptism! Pray for these folks as they choose to be buried with Christ so that they can be raised with Him on That Day.
2016-06-08: Khmer People.
Pray for the Khmer people of Southeast Asia. One worker’s article on the Psalms is currently being translated for publication in a Khmer Christian magazine. Pray for the Church in this sensitive land. Pray that heart-level healing will become a hallmark of the Bride of Christ in this place.
