Give thanks and praise to God for moving in the lives of teens attending summer outreach Sports and English camp in Taiwan. Praise God for the 4 baptisms and others who proclaimed faith in Jesus Christ. Pray for these teens to grow in Christ and find fellowship in believers their own age.
2016-09-09: Focused Prayer for the Lost.
In light of unrest in sensitive fields where Team Expansion families are serving, be encouraged to pray for God to work in ways that we have not seen before. Historically, significant movements of God among unreached people have always been preceded by a massive outpouring of extraordinary focused prayer from His church for the lost. Pray that the tragedies will serve to force unreached peoples within these desperate places to look beyond themselves, beyond government, beyond their own plans for the future, and find the salvation and peace that only Jesus can give.
2016-09-08: Pray Like Jesus.
Jesus, you prayed when you were “sorrowful and troubled” facing the cross. You were “overwhelmed to the point of death.” Lord, may we and your people in scattered places around the world follow your example and be persistent in prayer when we are facing death of any kind. May we choose your will and not our own. May we “watch and pray so that” we “will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the body is weak” (Mt 26:36-46).

Watching the news surrounding terrorism, US election season is certainly disturbing for believers. But as we watch, it is clear there is hope! We are viewing the physical result of a spiritual war. The more believers pray, the more stirred up things are getting as the enemy tries to stop God from moving. This is not a time to shrink back, but a time to pray more. 1 Thessalonians 2:8-10 says, “So, being affectionately desirous of you, we were ready to share with you not only the Gospel of God but also our own selves, because you had become very dear to us.” Pray for disciples who make disciples through the sharing of the Gospel and the example they set forth.

Praise God for the 40+ students who signed up for summer English Bible studies in one on one or small group settings! That is over 40 people every week who got to hear the Gospel and Scriptural truths. Join the team in Ancona in praying that these seeds fall on good soil and will produce a crop 100 times what is sown (Mt 13:1-23). God is awesome in bringing non-believers to study His Word and commit to learning English with the Bible as curriculum.
