We praise You, O Lord, for your matchless promises, comfort, and nearness in the lives of Your children in Egypt who are experiencing threats, imprisonment, harassment, and even execution for Your Name’s sake.
2016-11-23: Ethiopian Christians.
Pray for Ethiopian Christians who are currently in jail. When someone is put into jail, it is often necessary for the family to provide them with food. Pray that their physical needs will be provided and that this provision will be a witness to those who persecute them.
2016-11-22: A Place of Severe Persecution.
Orissa, located on the east coast of India, has been a place of severe persecution for Christ followers. Over the past decade, no other state in India has experienced such extreme violence towards Christians. As a result of this hatred, hundreds of people have been killed because of their faith in Jesus. Christ. Pray for the pastors of this region to be encouraged. Ask God’s Presence to be strong in Orissa to give peace and protection over pastors and their families in this very dangerous area.
2016-11-21: Divine Rescuer.
Give thanks to Jesus for showing Himself to be divine Rescuer, Prince of Peace, Hope of the nations. Pray that the joy and hope of Jesus will be revealed to Christians in Turkmenistan who are sorrowful and feel uncertain of the future.
2016-11-20: The Church in Kenya.
Praise God for the church in Kenya. Pray that God would provide Christ followers in Kenya an increase in opportunities to share about Jesus without fear of retaliation.
2017-11-19: Believers in Qatar.
We pray today for believers in Qatar who are facing opposition from their family because of their decisions for Christ. Strengthen them with the promises of Your Word and Your Spirit, and give them words to answer those who question, accuse, and threaten them.
2016-11-18: Obey God Rather than Men.
When brought before the government rulers to account for their illegal preaching of the Gospel, Peter and the apostles replied, “We must obey God rather than men!” (Acts 5:29). Lord, we pray that you will give the believers in Central African Republic the courage to speak about You boldly even when it is forbidden. Give them wisdom and faith.
2016-11-17: Persecuted People.
In regard to His persecuted people, praise God for He has a plan. He sees oppression and sends a deliverer or provides a way to escape. God’s mighty power is on display. Pray for believers in Vietnam to move forward in their faith and trust in God’s Sovereign plan and mighty power.
2016-11-16: Labor.
“…and we labor, working with our own hands. When reviled, we bless; when persecuted, we endure” (1 Cor 4:12). Lord we pray that this would be the testimony of the believers in Uzbekistan. Strengthen them to endure through increasing persecution and family tension. We pray they be steadfast in their faith.
2016-11-15: Persecuted Christians.
In describing persecuted Christians, Hebrews 10:33 says, “Sometimes you were publicly exposed to insult and persecution; at other times you stood side by side with those who were so treated.” Let us stand with our Yemen brothers and sisters in asking God to empower them to stand strong even while facing public insult and persecution.
