In much of the Muslim world, including parts of Turkey, poverty and illiteracy are widespread. This is not the norm in the city where a team of harvest workers serves. Most people have access to basic education, and many attend colleges and universities. The main obstacle in this field is miseducation and misunderstanding, if not outright deception and propaganda. Pray for those who hunger and thirst for righteousness. Pray that misconceptions are overcome so Truth is boldly proclaimed.

Praise God for partnerships among Cuban leaders and house churches to do fruitful outreach. Praise God for 340 baptisms! Praise God that a team of Venezuelan pastors can begin offering training in the simple principles of disciple making movements in Feb 2017. One group of Cuban churches has 100 workers they are wanting to send and they are hoping to do so in partnership with Team Expansion. Praise God!
2016-12-13: Zechariah.
Zechariah sang and prophesied about his newborn son John. Let’s use the words to his song in praying for workers in the Ancash region of Peru. Like John, let us ask God to raise up workers for Ancash to prepare the way for the Lord Jesus, to give people knowledge of salvation through the forgiveness of sins (Luke 1:76-77).
2016-12-12: Niger.
Niger is one of the poorest nations in the world. There is almost nothing manufactured and very few crops grown. Workers there are using a community development approach meshed with principles of disciple making movements. Praise God for 12 promising leaders. Pray for a disciple making movement among these unreached Muslims.
2016-12-11: Matthew 5:14-16.
Matthew 5:14-16 says, “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” Praise God that there are believers in “Narnia” that glow with the Gospel. Pray for a disciple making movement to rise up so this region is no longer in darkness but shining gloriously for Christ.
2016-12-10: Let Us Not Love with Words or Tongue but with Actions and Truth.
“Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth.” (1 John 3:18)
Pray that Team Expansion workers in “Aslan” may be active in sharing the Gospel and that their lives speak truth as they go about daily tasks.
2016-12-09: Psalm 68:6.
Psalm 68:6 says, “God sets the lonely in families, he leads forth the prisoners with singing, but the rebellious live in a sun-scorched land.” Give thanks for the family of God and that extension of His family serving among Arabs in the Muslim world. Pray that these families are able to introduce many Arabs to Jesus.
2016-12-08: Workers Answering God’s Call.
Praise God for workers answering God’s call to carry the Gospel into the unreached parts of the world. Pray for courage to be obedient, whether in big leaps or small steps of faith.
2016-12-07: Luke 1:29-33.
In Luke 1:29-33 the angel tells Mary she has favor with the Lord. She will give birth to a son and name him Jesus. “He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever; his kingdom will never end.” Pray for full time workers in Kosovo to touch many lives through Christmas outreach and for hearts to be turned to be obedient to the King of kings.
2016-12-06: The True Light.
“The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world (John 1:9). Pray that the Light of Jesus shines through Team Expansion workers so that the Japanese are attracted to Jesus and receive His mercy and grace and truth.
