Psalm 34:7-8 says, “The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him; and he delivers them. Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in him.” Praise God for our Deliverer who is positioned to defend and save. Pray for Team Expansion families serving among people who are unreligious and/or with atheistic view. Ask God to soften hearts and change minds to receive and believe God’s Story. Pray for workers not to give up or give in so that a harvest of righteousness will be abundant.
2017-07-25: Progress in Disciple Making Movements.
“He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. Surely he will save you from the fowler’s snare and from deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart” (Psalm 91:1, 3-4). Several Team Expansion families are serving among followers of Hinduism with the Most High is on their side. Pray for workers to rest in the shelter of His wings and, by the power of His name, make progress in disciple making movements.
2017-07-24: II Thessalonians 3:3.
2 Thessalonians 3:3 says, “But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen and protect you from the evil one.” Many Team Expansion workers are serving among people who follow tribal religions like animism. Give thanks for God’s faithfulness to keep these servants in the hollow of His hand. Ask God to supply strength and protection in spiritually dark places to confront the evil one with the power of the name of Jesus. Pray that many would come out of the darkness and into God’s marvelous light.
2017-07-23: Proverbs 14:26.
“He who fears the Lord has a secure fortress, and for the children it will be a refuge” (Proverbs 14:26). Give thanks and praise to God for Team Expansion families who are spreading the Good News of Jesus to other families in foreign lands. Some families have helped to establish schools in North Africa, West Africa, Europe, and Asia to share the Gospel with other children. Some families are involved in local public schools to reach youth. Pray that more children around the world would hear the Gospel and take refuge in Christ.
2017-07-22: Psalm 4:8.
“I will lie down and sleep in peace, for you alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety” (Psalm 4:8). In some countries, open doors may expose workers to danger and personal harm. Opposition to the Gospel may include hatred and violence. Pray that God will change the hearts of those who are resistant to His Word. Pray for Team Expansion workers to sleep in peace and dwell in the safe keeping of the Father’s arms.
2017-07-21: Two Agendas.
The Pathways interns to a predominantly Muslim city in Eurasia are joining workers there in two agendas for the summer: a sports outreach in local parks,and to helping to establish a women-centric outreach/ministry. Pray that God would arm Team Expansion workers with strength and make their way perfect (2 Samuel 22:3
2017-07-20: Harvest Workers.
Praise God for raising up harvest workers. Pray that God keeps these families He is raising up safe and secure as they go forward in their training, forward in support raising, forward in language and culture learning, forward in growing in faith and obedience to God’s call.
2017-07-19: Tenerife.
Tenerife has a fairly new team on the ground. Praise God! The Pathways interns will be using some sport outreach in conjunction with a ministry that has a primary focus of disciple making movement in principle and practice. Ask God for divine appointments in meeting people of peace and building connections during these final days of their internships.
2017-07-18: Pray for Friends and Family to Encourage and Strengthen Recruits.
Pray for friends and family to encourage and strengthen new recruits in their obedience to make disciples of all nations. Pray against any negative comments that would plant doubt or second guessing. Pray that these new workers stay confident and trust the Lord.
2017-07-17: John 17.
In John 17, Jesus prayed for His disciples that remain in the world to be protected by His Father’s name. Pray for disciple makers in Sicily to be protected by the power of the Father’s name so that they may be one with the Father.
