Praise God that the Gonjaland Project continues to grow. Workers report continued growth and expansion of disciple making movements which started in northern Ghana. This DMM is already impacting 38 different people/ethnic groups. Approximately 60% are Muslim. Pray for this team, their health, their safety, their partnerships, their leadership, their workers, and the ongoing expansion of that DMM which God seems to be blessing in order to reach many other nations beyond Ghana. Pray for all disciple maker catalysts and trainers. May God bless them so they can bless all nations. Ask Him to provide all resources that they will need to accomplish His purposes.

Praise God for the progress being made by a team serving an unreached people group in North Africa. Harvest seeds are being sown in various ways and in various places. Pray that God will prepare hearts and minds to be able to hear and understand the Gospel and that many in this people group will have courage to follow the Truth, no matter what.

Pray for Somalia. Religion is a major influence on the lives of Somalis. More than 99% of Somalis are Muslim, most of them Sunni Muslim. Sharia law is the law of the land. Somalis mix Muslim teaching and tradition with Sufi spiritualism which is characterized by chanting, whirling, chewing khat, and falling into a trance as a way to commune with Allah. Most Somalis believe in mortal spirits called jinn, who are said to be descended from fallen heavenly spirits. Al-Shabaab, a terrorist group linked to al-Qaeda, is fighting to take over Somalia and impose a stricter form of Sharia law. Pray to the One True God to break the power of Satan and tear down spiritual strongholds in Somalia; that Somalis will know the truth and be set free; to raise up workers to fight the lies of Satan with the truthful speech and the power of God; to reveal Himself to Muslim believers in dreams and visions.

Praise God for the impact of Relational Evangelism among the people of Africa. In a recent training, a dynamic pastor of a congregation in West Africa said this training is going to radicalize his life and ministry. Ask God to orchestrate future trainings in that region.

Z is a believer from a small city two hours from N. Her church recently began the first Christian school in her city, and she is currently in university studying to become a teacher at this school. Pray that God would bless her studies, and bless the ministry at this Christian school

The Word of God tells us that if we pray to the Father in faith we will receive what we have asked for according to His will. Pray that believers all over the world would pray in faith for God to work miracles among the Tanzanians and that many would come to faith in the One True God.

In East Africa, 18 men from village churches were trained in disciple making movement principles. Two of these men, while at the training, were able to be a part of some amazing happenings. Part of the training has participants go out into the community to prayer walk, pray with or for people, and share the Gospel. These two men were able to pray for a very sick little boy who didn’t have strength to eat. It was a dire situation. The boy was healed and later seen playing soccer in the streets! These two men were also able to share the Gospel with people who received Christ as Savior. Praise God for His miraculous healing in both realms of the physical and spiritual. Pray for these 18 men as they implement these DMM principles and wait for the Spirit to move in each of their own villages.

Ever since the police started to prevent all national visitors from entering the church building, workers have developed a new strategy for the right time and place to offer alternative services. N and Y are a gifted, dedicated husband and wife team that powerfully share their testimonies and encourage new believers. N travels all around the country as a modern Apostle Paul. The meeting is called “Know the Light.”. Pray that these meetings will result in regular Bible discussion groups among those who attend. Local believers struggle with connection to other Christians. Ask God to initiate disciple making and church planting movements so that many people of North Africa will know the Light.

One of our teams in North Africa is using an English Club to meet university students. They have grown from 1 to 14 in one year. Several of these students are reading Scripture and asking great questions. From this group the team has shared the Gospel and started a house church type meeting for nationals who are interested in exploring who Jesus is. Pray for protection of this house church situated in predominant Muslim state. Pray for disciple making movement among these university students and other nationals.

Team Expansion’s Leadership Task Force is gathering for the next two days. Ask for wisdom for the board members as they review field statistics from 2017 and make any recommendations in that area.
