In the Pacific, there remain hundreds of languages without the Bible. Pray for translators and translation teams to be raised up for Scripture translation. Pray for the completion of these projects as well as the distribution and embracing of the Word of God that can transform hearts and minds.

Pray that the Chinese diaspora of the Pacific would be reached with the Gospel and be obedient to Christ. Pray for international students concentrated in Australia and New Zealand to be evangelized for taking the message of Christ back to their homelands. Pray that other immigrant groups, especially in Australia and New Zealand that include Arabs, Iranians, Malays, Indonesians, Europeans, Somalis, and East and Southeast Asians are exposed to the Good News of Jesus and come to obedient faith in Him.

Pray for completion of world evangelism in the Pacific. Pray that the few unengaged tribal peoples of Papua New Guinea’s interior would be transformed by the Gospel. Pray for spiritual awakening of nominal believers in New Caledonia, French Polynesia, and many other island groups to be obedient disciple makers. Pray for effective evangelization of the Indians of Fiji, the largest unreached people group in the Pacific and followers of Islam and Hinduism.

The church in the Pacific has failed to meet the mission challenge on its own soil. The mission opportunities afforded by immigration and a multicultural society, and the need to train leaders in effective evangelism, church planting, and discipleship skills remain largely unaddressed. Pray for an awakening in the Pacific church and in training infrastructures that can meet growing challenges.

The inability to move from beyond Christianization, and into making mature believers, is a large part of the Church’s decline in Australia and New Zealand. It is also the reason for the vulnerability of the Church in the Pacific Islands. Pray for a mentality in the Church that places priority and focus rightly on shaping disciples.

Many smaller islands of Cook Islands have no known evangelical witness. Pray for an outpouring that would see old churches revived, new churches planted and every island with the presence of active believers.

Malaysia is majority Muslim country, but also has significant Buddhist population. While Christianity is not illegal, Christians are marginalized by ruling Muslim ethnic group and have difficulty acquiring building permits for new churches. Ask God to break down the walls of Islam and Buddhism so that His Word and His Name may be openly obeyed and proclaimed.

Praise God for the opportunities and challenges involved in developing New Zealand sending base. Pray that New Zealanders would be trained in disciple making movement principles and sent out as kingdom workers around the world.

Papamoa, New Zealand is a fast growing, multicultural suburb in a highly secular area where only about 2/% of the population attends any kind of church. A new Team Expansion family has moved there with an aim to establish a New Zealand led and self-sustaining church there. Praise God for opening doors to be involved in local schools through basketball. Pray for a strong outreach to children and youth that bears lasting fruit.

Praise God for a new family partnering with Team Expansion in establishing a sending base in New Zealand. Pray for their effectiveness in disciple making and church planting.
