Many Christians are unaware that we live in a country that has a law in place requiring our President to proclaim a National Day of Prayer each year on the first Thursday of May. People of the United States may turn to God in prayer and meditation at churches, in groups and as individuals. Today let us partner together in requests, prayer, intercession, and thanksgiving being made for everyone – kings and those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness (1 Timothy 2:1-2).
